New Height at 5.86m! Kunwei Sports Technology Backs 2026 National Pole Vault Shanghai Legs

The 3rd and 4th stops of the 2026 National Pole Vault Individual Events were successfully held at the indoor pole vault arena on the Xuhui Campus of Shanghai University of Sport on March 21 and March 25 respectively. As a scoring event for athletics of the 16th National Games of China, the competition drew a large number of elite domestic athletes.

As the official partner of the tournament, Kunwei Sports Technology provided full professional technical support throughout the event.

A historic milestone was achieved at the 4th stop on March 25: Li Chenyang from Shandong set a new national record with a clearance of 5.86 metres. He raised his previous national record of 5.85 metres by one centimetre, reaching a new all-time high for men’s pole vault in China.

During the competition, the technical team of Kunwei Sports was on-site with multiple high-speed camera systems and other professional equipment to capture high-precision synchronized motion data covering all core technical phases of every competing athlete, including the run-up, take-off and bar clearance postures. The team will conduct post-event review and analysis based on the massive kinematic data collected. Such data assists coaches in technical reviews and training guidance, enabling athletes to refine technical movements, boost competitive performance and prevent sports injuries through scientific means.
